Shah Rukh Khan’s much-anticipated movie, “Jawan,” is creating quite a stir as it approaches its release date on September 7. Film trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan shared some exciting news about the film’s advance ticket sales in India on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter).

 Phenomenal Advance Bookings for “Jawan”

Last week, advance booking for this action-packed movie became available across India, with some theaters pricing tickets as high as ₹2.4k. The latest figures reveal that more than 500,000 tickets for the opening day of “Jawan” have already been sold.

 Breakdown of Advance Sales

Manobala provided detailed insights into the advance sales from various multiplexes. He tweeted, “Jawan’s day 1 advance sales are soaring high. It has crossed the 500,000 ticket selling milestone in India. The advance booking figures in national multiplexes are as follows: PVR – 112,299 tickets, INOX – 75,661 tickets, CINEPOLIS – 40,577 tickets. The total number of tickets sold stands at 228,538, with a gross revenue of ₹9.01 crore.”

 Advance Sales Across Different Cities

He also broke down the numbers by city, stating, “City-wise statistics for all theaters are as follows: Delhi NCR – 39,535 tickets (₹1.91 crore), Mumbai – 39,600 tickets (₹1.57 crore), Bengaluru – 39,325 tickets (₹1.42 crore), Hyderabad – 58,898 tickets (₹1.35 crore), Kolkata – 40,035 tickets (₹1.16 crore). Nationwide, theaters have sold 517,700 tickets, accumulating ₹14.47 crore in gross revenue.”

 Early Morning Shows and Exceptional Demand

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh also shared insights into the advance booking and early morning shows of “Jawan” in different cities. He mentioned, “While “Jawan” is enjoying strong advance bookings at national chains, the status of advance bookings at non-national chain cinemas and single screens is truly phenomenal. Single screens in Delhi, UP, Rajasthan, Bihar, and the Hindi heartland are reporting exceptional results. So much so that several exhibitors are starting shows as early as 6 am, even in tier-2 centers, due to the high demand.”

 High Expectations for “Jawan” at the Box Office

The anticipation is high for “Jawan” to perform exceptionally well at the box office. Shah Rukh Khan is expected to achieve a second consecutive ₹100 crore plus opening worldwide in the same year as his blockbuster spy film “Pathaan.” “Jawan” could also join the ₹1000 crore grosser club in the same year for the actor.

Directed by Atlee and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, “Jawan” boasts a star-studded cast, including Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Sunil Grover, Yogi Babu, and Ridhi Dogra, among others. The film will be released in cinemas in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.

Within the first 24 hours of its release, the “Jawan” trailer garnered over 102 million views across various social media platforms. This included around 33 million views on YouTube and approximately 25 million views on Shah Rukh Khan’s Instagram account in all languages. The Hindi trailer for the movie alone scored around 25 million views on YouTube and approximately 18 million views on Instagram.

 A Glimpse of Previous Achievements

A recent report by Sacnilk.com compared the “Jawan” trailer’s views to Shah Rukh Khan’s previous work. Shah Rukh Khan’s last movie, “Pathaan,” had achieved 27.73 million views on YouTube within the first 24 hours. However, his most viewed movie trailer remains “Zero” (2018), which garnered an astounding 41 million views on YouTube on its first day of release.”
